Up to 4 feet tall. Fine toothed, tapered, opposite leaves.
Clusters of 2- 7 short stalked flowers at tips of one year old branches.
Flowers are funnel shaped, 1/2 to 3/4 inches long with a hairy inner surface. Turn orange with age.
Found in woodland by a stream. Canyon Falls Roadside Park near Alberta, Michigan, Upper Peninsula. July 5. 0839,0841
