Previous genus Prenathes. Also called Tall white rattlesnakeroot.

2-6 ft tall. Unbranched. Hairless stalk.

 Alternating leaves which vary from unlobed to lobed. Lower leaves more likely to be lobed.

Flowers ~3/4 inch long. No disk florets. Can be greenish, creamy, white.
