Native perennial of forest floor. 1-3 feet tall. Also called Large-leaved aster.
Colonies of basal leaves may exist without many flower stems. Spreads often via rhizomes.
Flat topped flower head. " Ragged looking". May be white or blue. ~ 1 inch in diameter.
Leaves: alternate,simple, toothed. Basal leaves perhaps a little heart shaped. Upper leaves oval to lance shaped.
