Also called Ghost plant or Ghost pipe. Herbaceous perennial. Native. 2-8 inches tall. No chlorophyll. 

Translucent waxy white to pink. Emerging flower is pointed downward but gradually staightens, aquires black spots and becomes brown. 

Leaves scale like.

Saprophytic.
