Nightshade family (Solanaceae) Native, perenial. Up to 3 ft tall.
Leaves are shallowly lobed, alternate, 3 by 6 inches. Spines on back side of leaf main vein and on stems.
Flowers are star shaped, white or light violet. About 3/4 inch in diameter. Five petals which are fused at their base. Five prominant yellow anthurs. No scent.
Fruit looks like small geen to yellow tomatoes about 1/2 in in diameter. Poisonous!!!
