Flowers 1/3 to 1/2 inch diameter. Solitary. Petals toothed and wider than petals on Deptford pink. Dark band near base of petal.
Introduced from Europe. Mat-forming. Drought tolerant. found in disturbed areas.
Found in weeds at edge of road in Big Rapids, Michigan. August 5. 5912
