Differentiated from Black-eyed Susan by smaller, more numerous flowers with fewer rays.

Also called Thin-leaved coneflower and Three-lobed coneflower.  Native.

Fower: Yellow daisy like 1-2 inches in diameter with 6-13 rays. Center is dark purple to brown in color and conical in shape

Leaves: 2-4 inches. Rough on both sides. Lowest leaves are three lobed.
