Native, 4-8 feet in height.
Flowers are 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inches across. Composite, 17-35 ray flowers. Disk flowers yellow once mature and sterile.
Leaves are triangular in shape. Large, 6 x 10 inches.Coursely toothed and pointed. Rough. Opposite. Joined at stem creating a cup.
Sten is square and usually smooth.
