Height 4-12 inches.
Flower 1/2 inches long, 5 petals in a receme of 3-11 flowers. Hang down. Creamy colored but can be white, yellow or redish.
Leaves are scale- like along the stem. Same color as flower. No chlorophyll.
As flower matures flowers go to an erect position. Dried stalk may persist to following season.
