Flower is 1 to 1 1/2 inches diameter. 40 to 100 ray flowers. Yellow center that turns redish purple with age. Purple to rose pink.
Leaves are 1 to 4 inches long, 1/2 to 1 inches wide. Mostly toothless. Clasp stem.
Important to late season polinators.
