Also called Starved Aster and White Woodland Aster. Perennial, native. Up to 4 feet tall. 

Flower white to purple. 1/2 inches. 9-14 rays with irregular spacing. Central yellow disk that turns purple.

Leaves are stalkless, lance-shaped.
