Also called Striped Wintergreen. Evergreen leaves which are dark green and varigated with white veins.

Flowers in terminal clusters of up 2-5.  Stem length is up to 10 inches. Round flowers, nodding.

Sandy soil and well drained woods.

Endangered in Canada and several states.
